Surface Shields announces merger with Poly-Tak

ORLAND PARK, IL — Surface Shields Inc. announced today its completion of a merger with Poly-Tak Protection Systems Inc., according to a press release.

Surface Shields offers floor protection and dust containment products, including those related to flooring and abatement, and Poly-Tak is the original creater of Carpet Mask™, the first temporary carpet surface protection product.

The new combined company will operate under the Surface Shields Inc. name, and it promises it will continue to offer high quality products both are known for.

“We are always looking for ways to evolve with the needs of our customers, and this merger will be a great opportunity for everyone,” Poly-Tak VP of Operations Geetha Nath said in the release.

The merger offers both originating companies the chance to combine resources to offer greater support to customers, utilize a larger sales force and expand its footprint.

Surface Shields President Kyle Behringer echoed Nath’s sentiment on the merger, adding “The Poly-Tak sales team will be a fantastic addition as we look to provide unparalleled support to current and new distributors.”

Ordering procedures and other operations funtions should remain the same through December 31.
