MISSOULA, Mont.—December 27, 2020—Private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners recently acquired a majority stake in Dayspring Restoration, a leading provider of restoration, mitigation, and renovation services based in Missoula, Montana. Founded in 1989, Dayspring now has six locations across Montana with plans for continued growth. The Dayspring Restoration investment will partner Trinity Hunt with Dayspring President Mark Springer—who remains a significant shareholder—and the company’s management team to accelerate growth through regional expansion and strategic initiatives.

“As we look to the future, choosing a capital partner that shares our core values was of paramount importance. In Trinity Hunt we believe we have found a firm that not only shares these values, but their experience and support will help to catapult our growth and service offerings to a much larger market area,” said Springer, who also serves as president of the Restoration Industry Association.

Dayspring marks Trinity Hunt’s first investment as part of a broader acquisition strategy in the restoration services industry. Dean Murphy will serve as holding company CEO in connection with Trinity Hunt’s restoration services investment initiative; he brings significant experience in M&A, construction and related industries, and culture-building to the platform.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with the Dayspring team,” said Dean Murphy, holding company CEO. “The entire Dayspring organization is built on a platform of providing a terrific customer experience and creating a positive culture for employees, and they have been quite successful as a result. We are happy to continue expanding upon that approach and work collaboratively with the team to build a national restoration services company.”

“Mark Springer and the broader team at Dayspring have a strong track record in growing their business across Montana in recent years and we admire what they’ve accomplished,” said Garrett Greer, principal at Trinity Hunt. “Dayspring is an excellent first acquisition for Trinity Hunt as a part of our thesis in the restoration services industry that we are executing alongside Dean Murphy. We look forward to scaling by partnering with additional like-minded, culture-oriented restoration services companies across the U.S. in the years to come.”

Alexander Hutton served as financial advisor to Dayspring in the transaction, and Goodrich & Reely served as legal advisor. Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP served as legal advisor to Trinity Hunt. Terms of the Dayspring Restoration investment were not disclosed.
