RIA schedules webinar on independent contracting and joint employer liability

WASHINGTON — The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) will hold a webinar, “Understanding Independent Contractor & Employee Differences & the Risks of Joint Employer Liability,” Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 2 – 3 p.m. EDT, according to the organization’s website.

Joel J. Greenwald, Esq., a nationally-recognized speaker on legal issues connected to employment and labor law, will present the seminar, which aims to aid industry owners with employee-related legal issues.

The webinar will address:

·         “The legal distinctions between an employee and an independent contractor”;

·         “How you can protect yourself and your company from being considered a ‘joint employer’ with another company in a work-related lawsuit.”
