Remembering Cleaning and Restoration Industry Icon Ford Halter
MIDDLETOWN, OH — April 7, 2022 — Ford Halter, a well-known cleaning and restoration industry icon, died the morning of March 2, 2022, at age 70 after a long series of health issues. He and his wife Jayne own and operate Midwest Cleaning Technologies in Mason, Ohio. Ford is survived by his wife, his son Jacob, a brother, a sister, three nieces and nephews, numerous friends, staff, and customers.
Ford was raised in Oxford, Ohio, and after graduation, attended Miami Technical Institute where he studied police science. Ford’s 50-year industry career began in 1972 when he started his carpet cleaning business Time Maintenance Limited. Recognized for an eye for quality, innovation, and customer service, he became a major cleaning and restoration industry influencer and innovator, growing his service business and later opening Midwest Cleaning Technologies to offer supplies, equipment, and training.
During his career, Ford helped numerous individuals and companies find success in the cleaning and restoration industries. He was quick to put others’ needs and best interests before his own and was known as a leader and mentor to many he served, and he remained active in the business until close to his death. Jayne will continue to operate Midwest and serve their customers.
Per his request, an informal visitation and time of sharing and fellowship for Ford Halter was held at Midwest Cleaning Technologies on March 26th.
