WESTON, WI — On Monday, June 10, 2013 golfers played in the Central Wisconsin Pink Ribbon Open at the Wausau Country Club, teeing up to support our local survivors of breast cancer, according to a press release.

That money is awarded to local breast cancer survivors and is spent on everything from medical bills to day to day expenses, the release stated.

According to the release, on August 1, 2013 at the Woodchucks' game, K-tech Charities presented a check for $3,000 to Blessings in a Backpack thanks to our Homers for Hunger program.

This program helps children in need by sending them home with food in a back pack to help them get through the weekends during the school year, the release noted.
