Carpet cleaners believed to have shot robber

MEMPHIS, TN — Two America’s Best Carpet and Tile Cleaning employees were cleaning carpet in a vacant home on Friday, February 6, 2015, when two robbers entered and held them at gunpoint, according to a WMC Action News 5 story.

One of the cleaners then "fired back" at one of the suspects, according to the story. The other robber fled the scene and is still at large.

Police responded to a call and arrived on the scene around 3:30 p.m. where they found the two victims and the wounded suspect who was transported to a local hospital where he was placed in critical condition.
