FORT WORTH, TX — Steamatic Inc. has sold a new franchise location in Warren, MI, which will service Northern Detroit, according to a press release.

“I’m tired of working for other people,” Steamatic of Warren owner Kit Burgess explained in the release. “I’m looking forward to getting out and succeeding on my own.”

An industry newcomer, Burgess decided to join the industry after several years as an IT Systems Administrator left him looking to make a career change.

“Burgess looked at multiple restoration companies when setting out on this new path, but ultimately selected Steamatic as the best opportunity and the one that most closely matched his needs,” the company said in the release. “[He] selected Steamatic as a path that will make the most of his relationship building skills and marketing abilities.”

After a two-week training course at Steamatic University at the Fort Worth corporate offices, Burgess has returned to formally open the Steamatic of Warren franchise location.

“We are very excited about adding another location in Michigan, especially in the Detroit area,” Steve Willis, Steamatic president, said in the release. “In addition, Kit’s IT background perfectly aligns with Steamatic’s initiative to continually improve our technology solutions for our clients, our partners and our franchises.”
