IICRCA hires Maury Astley as president

LAS VEGAS — The International Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Council of Associations (IICRCA) recently announced it has tapped long-time industry veteran, Maury Astley, to be its new president, according to a press release.
The IICRCA was created in 2012 by the IICRC with a goal of creating a global, cross-industry council of associations that would allow diverse interests in cleaning, restoration, inspection and related fields to exchange information, speak in a unified voice regarding major issues and deliver value both to the member organizations and membership bases.
“The power of trade associations has always been in service to their members,” Astley said in the release, “That same spirit of service – and the same power of a unified voice in the industry – is something we think we can bring to our member associations as well.”
Astley, a Certified Association Executive, will work out of the IICRCA’s headquarters at the IICRC Global Resource Center in Las Vegas.
“[Astley] is an outstanding fit for an organization going through a growth spurt, and that’s exactly where we are today,” said Bryan O’Haleck, chairman of the organization. “The sheer range within the industry – from the one-person carpet cleaner all the way to franchised cleaning and restoration companies worth billions of dollars, as well as manufacturers and related organizations – means we need a steady hand at the helm. And that’s what we’ve found.”
