CARE elects chairman

SEATTLE, WA — Brendan McSheehy was elected chairman of the board for for the Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE).

McSheehy is vice president of innovation, sustainability and intellectual properties at Universal Fibers, a position he has held since 1990.

Joe Yarbrough, the new president of the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), was elected vice chairman.

McSheehy has participated on CARE's board of directors since 2006, previously serving as vice chair and treasurer.
