Poison safety from children

WASHINGTON, DC — The Poison Prevention Week Council has announced its 2015 poster contest winners chosen from students from the U.S. and its territories, according to a press release.

The contest aims to emphasize the need for poison prevention through children’s artwork and engages children with the need for poison safety at an early age.

This year’s winning artwork came from students in Alabama, Florida and the Virgin Islands.

“The poster contest inspires creativity around the topics of home safety,” said Nancy Bock, Poison Prevention Week Council Chair and Senior Vice President of Education at the American Cleaning Institute. “We believe that involving students in creating artwork for National Poison Prevention Week meaningfully engages them at a very early age about safety in the home.”
