NICFI 2021 Educational Conference Registration Open
WILOUGHBY, Ohio—June 24, 2021—The National Institute of Certified Floorcovering Inspectors (NICFI) will host its annual Educational Conference as an in-person event in Dalton, Georgia, October 3-5. Floor inspectors and industry professionals are invited to attend the event, which will be held at the Dalton Convention Center. The annual conference features education on the most up-to-date trade skills and techniques; new or updated field-testing procedures, tools, products, and product defects; and industry standards and procedures. Registration is now open for the NICFI 2021 Educational Conference, with early registration discounts available through August 15.

The conference opens with a two-and-a-half-day educational course, taught by trainers Will Stoner and Andrew Fronczek from Inspector Training Services (ITS), on LVT Flooring (solid vinyl and ridged core products). Those already certified in LVT will benefit from a refresher/update. Those interested in an additional LVT Certification can sign up to take the ITS test (at an additional fee). Topics covered include:
- LVT plank and tile inspections.
- Breakdown and explore issues/concerns related to manufacturing, installation, and consumer/site- related
- Substrates, different LVT products (i.e. solid/rigid core products and the different locking systems), adhesives, and installation
- Demonstrations using proven procedures and techniques to evaluate flooring problems with accuracy and confidence.
Conference attendees who are members of Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and Inspectors Training Services (ITS) will receive (2) Continued Educational Credits for attending. Additionally, this is event is a great way for industry professionals to network with each other from around the country.

NICFI is the only non-profit association within the flooring industry with a membership comprised solely of Independent Floor Covering Inspectors. Each prospective member’s presented credentials are reviewed and verified through the named certifying body. Once membership is granted, each inspector is responsible for keeping their certifications current, which is a condition of membership in good standing.
