IICRC to launch peer-reviewed technical journal

iicrc

VANCOUVER, WA — The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) will launch a peer-reviewed technical journal serving the cleaning, restoration and inspection industries in early 2014, according to a press release.

"Technical and science journals are common in most professional fields. The cleaning, restoration and inspection industry is a small niche market that is currently unserved. No other industry organization is positioned as well as the Institute to meet this need," said IICRC Chairman Darrel Paulson.

Publishing a peer-reviewed technical journal will play a key role in developing and disseminating the technical body of knowledge that will enhance the overall growth and financial viability of the IICRC as well as enable it to more fully implement its mission statement, the release stated.

According to the release, the publication will be published six times per year, with the first issue set for distribution in early 2014.

Titled The Journal, it will provide in-depth technical articles focusing on the four disciplines represented by the Institute, including hard-surface cleaning, soft-surface cleaning, disaster restoration and inspection, the release noted.
