WESTERVILLE, OH — IEHA is pleased to make available "Getting Started with Integrated Cleaning and Measurement™ – ICM: ATP Edition," a how-to guide to measuring cleaning success in an easy-to-read pocket edition, according to a press release.

"IEHA's Integrated Cleaning and Measurement (ICM) system is an approach that uses hand-held and other measurement devices to quantify how well surfaces are cleaned, and to enable continual improvements. For example, ATP meters measure the amount of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) remaining on surfaces after cleaning," said David Mudarri, PhD, former EPA senior scientist.

"ATP is found in all living cells (and often stays in them after they die) — thus it’s a pretty good indicator of how well cleaning processes are removing invisible germs or germ-promoting soil. ATP measurement is the focus of this booklet. Other devices are briefly discussed but covered in detail elsewhere," Mudarri added.

According to the release, the booklet contains a substantial discount coupon for buying an ATP device to perform ICM, and adopting the Clean Standard.
