HydraMaster announces slide-in truckmount approval for Ford Transit Van

MUKILTEO, WA — HydraMaster recently approved the new Ford Transit Van for use with its full line of slide-in truckmounts after a thorough investigation into the compatibility of the two products, according to a press release.

"Due to the unique design and layout of the HydraMaster frame, HydraMaster engineers, working in conjunction with specific directions and parameters provided by the Ford Motor Company, have determined exactly where HydraMaster slide-in truckmounts can be installed in a Ford Transit to best utilize and maximize van floor space, as well as avoid all defined 'no-drill' zones as defined by Ford Motor Company."

HydraMaster found that its slide-ins could be installed to meet requirements without any sub frame, using only a special set of mounting bolts and cleat washers, which will HydraMaster provide its distributors for use in Transit installation, as well as installation procedures. However, customers who add a sub-mount fresh water tank beneath their truckmounts will need a special sub frame available from HydraMaster distributors in May. 

Also, potential buyers should note that this approval applies only to the Ford Transit Van and not the Ford Transit Connect Van, which has a payload too low to support truckmount installation.
