SALEM, OR — The Association of Rug Care Specialists (ARCS) technical committee recently held its first meeting at the annual ARCS meeting in New Orleans, according to its website.

Out of this initial meeting and others discussions involving the organization’s mission statement, the committee has developed several long-term projects, including a goal to establish a digital cleaner’s library, which will be accessible to all ARCS members.

In an effort to begin populating this proposed “library,” the committee has made available a “series of consumer fliers…These fliers can be printed out and handed out to your customers or can act as simple references for your employees.”

The available documents are on: Abrash, dye bleed, insect damage, spotting tips, pet stains, shading and shrinkage.

“There are a number of logistical challenges,” the committee in regards to creating this library, “but the benefit to members would be significant and well worth the effort.”
