AEML Winter Break 2022 Post-Show Report [photos]

DEERFIELD BEACH, FLā€”March 7, 2022ā€”AEML Winter Break 2022 returned to a live event this year, hosting a sold-out crowd of restoration and IAQ industry members in Deerfield Beach, Florida, January 28-29. See a picture slideshow of the event here, and read on below.

This yearā€™s conference theme focused on the 4 Ms, and each had an assigned moderator to facilitate the speaker introductions, transitions, and moderated, interactive Q&A with the attendees:

  1. Moisture (John Lapotaire),
  2. Materials (John Downey),
  3. Mold (Jon Isaacson),
  4. Methodologies (Ken Larsen).

Winter Break Conference Facilitator Pete Consigli says, ā€œThe Winter Break 2022 Conference theme and agenda content is an ā€˜old schoolā€™ technical conference that blends a unique balance of topics for the mixed audience of assessors (IEPs) and remediators with a speaker lineup of leading authority subject matter experts!ā€

Highlights from the event included ā€œStrategies for Controlling Moisture by Effective Use of Dehumidifiers with HVAC Systemsā€ with Andy Ask,” ā€œHow Moisture Impacts Wood and Metal Building Materials & Componentsā€ with Ralph Moon,Ā ā€œMold Assessment and Remediation: Interpretation & Compliance with the Standard of Careā€ withĀ Rachel L. Adams-Beja,andĀ ā€œOdor Hunting: A New Methodology for Determination of Where Odors Resideā€ with Cliff Zlotnik.Ā A panel of industry experts also presented the keynote on assessing and clearing the presence of particulates, residues, and odors.
