Utilizing Kahle’s original FOFs (Focus on First) strategies for goal-setting, companies can choose which goals to focus on at what times in order to succeed at each goal rather than becoming overwhelmed by the immensity of their goals as a team.
As Kahle states, “In my way of thinking, what if we said ‘this is what we’re going to focus on first.’ Understanding that the timelines for goals are kind of arbitrary, what if we said ‘these are the five things we’re gonna call FOFs. Then these become the things we focus on first, we apply our resources, our time, our talent, and when we feel that we’ve achieved these FOFs, we focus on other ones.”
The FOFs method helps to break down each goal so the sales team can focus their efforts, work together to accomplish their tasks, and complete more of their goals than ever before.
