LAS VEGAS — The Experience Convention and Trade Show is trying something new and, perhaps for five individuals, a little opportunity to suffer from stage fright.

The Last Vegas event, scheduled for September 3-5, has opened its speaking program on Wednesday afternoon for a special contest that includes five presenters — but unlike in the past, this is open only to those actively engaged in cleaning and restoration. No professional presenters, exhibitors, manufacturers or distributors are allowed in the contest.

While dozens of submission were sent in to be considered, The Experience is keeping the contest limited to just five presenters. Those recently chosen include Vincent Attardo, Adam Hale, Mary Bo, Craig Herrman and Tim Bauer.

Each presenter will have 20 minutes to discuss a topic they selected in advance, and then three judges from the industry will decide on first, second and third place. The one chosen as the best presenter will receive a cash prize of $2,500. There will be second and third place awards as well.
