FORT WORTH, TX — Steamatic Inc. recently announced its creation of a scholarship program in honor of the late Lindy Berry, former vice president and general manager of Steamatic.

The program was created to provide financial college (educational or vocational) assistance to Steamatic franchisees and their children and grandchildren.

Through the program, five recipients will receive $1,000 scholarships to the school of their choice.

Berry spent the majority of his professional career with Steamatic, and the scholarship was created out of respect for his leadership, character and integrity.

“Lindy spearheaded our organization for a long time and has played an incredible role in our success,” Bill Sims, chairman of Steamatic, said. “We are grateful to honor his life with the Scholarship Program. He was always looking to help others, and I believe he would be very proud of providing financial assistance to Steamatic franchisees and their families.”

Berry passed away in April of 2014.
