WASHINGTON — The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) will host a Virtual Town Hall Nov. 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. CST in which it will discuss the details of its patent lawsuit with Thermapure Inc. and the subsequent settlement, according to a press release.

The “Safe Harbor” Initiative was born out of the settlement and allows current RIA members to benefit from the settlement and non-members to receive benefit up on their joining. Safe Harbor will also be addressed during the town hall meeting.

During the town hall, RIA president, Scott Stamper, also will address the settlement in relation to dry heat usage.

The settlement between the RIA and Thermapure was announced this past July, and RIA sees the settlement as a “win/ win” for both organizations.

“There are many who do not know or need to know more about the settlement terms and how it directly affects them. Over the coming months, RIA will be ramping up our communication efforts across a variety of channels in order to do just that.” said  Stamper. “The Virtual Town Hall will be a great opportunity for the public to come and not only be further educated but also, to get their questions answered in a live forum.”
