Moeller to become G-P president & CEO

ATLANTA and WICHITA, KS — Joseph W. Moeller will succeed A.D. “Pete” Correll as chief executive officer and Lee Thomas as president of Georgia-Pacific Corp. following the completion of the JanSan manufacturer acquisition by Koch Industries, Inc. expected Friday, according to a PR Newswire press release. Bill Caffey will become Georgia-Pacific”s executive vice president of operations excellence and compliance, according to the release. Reuters reported that Koch Tuesday completed a tender offer for the outstanding shares of Georgia-Pacific and in a second article said it won permission from the European Commission to purchase the paper producer.
