Mikey’s Fest heads to Nashville July 21-23
NASHVILLE — Mikey’s Fest will return to Nashville July 21-23 for its professional carpet cleaning event, according to a release.
Classes will be held Thursday, July 21 and Friday, July 22. Please note that there is seating for just 90 attendees in the classroom, so be sure to pre-register to guarantee your seat.
On Saturday, July 23, those in attendance will clean tile carpet, upholstery and area rugs for charity. The event will offer attendees opportunities to try out the latest equipment and methods in a real-world setting with the guidance of some of the best cleaners in the U.S., including truckmounts, low-moisture equipment and other equipment.
Mikey’s Fest will be hosted by Jim Bardwell and John Browning of Pro Care of Nashville as well as Chris Pond of the Cleaner’s Depot and held at their facilities. “Jim and John are marketing geniuses and have loads to share,” the release said. “Tour their operations and pick their brains all for free.”
Industry “super stars” who will present at the even include: Adam Hale, Shawn Bisaillon, Ruth Travis, Robert Pettyjohn, Meg Burdick, Jim Bardwell, John Browning, Tom King, Chris Pond, Tom Monahan, Bryan Tompson and Steven Hoodledink.
“We’ll have a strong rug cleaning emphasis, as [Pro Care has] a nice set up with Centrum Force,” the release added. “Ruth Travis and Robert Pettyjohn will be sharing a tremendous amount of rug knowledge over the three days.”
Vendors currently committed to attend Mikey’s Fest include Cleaners Depot, Sapphire Scientific, HydraMaster, Prochem Kärcher Group, Harvard Chemical Research, Brush Pro, Fiber ProTector, Zipper, Rotovac, Devastator, PMF, Masterblend, Pro’s Choice, Centrum Force, Procyon, CalTools and Service Monster.

8:30 – 9:30 Jim Bardwell presents “Servicing the Filthy Rich: Who is going to let you in the front door?”
9:45 – 10:45 Meg Burdick presents “Using Service Monster to Get the Phone to Ring.”
Burdick will share many of her strategies behind running Pennsylvania’s premium Burdick’s Cleaning.
11:00 – noon John Browning presents “Systematizing Your Business so You Never Lose a Spray Bottle, a Foam Block or a Customer.”
Browning’s business will be on full display with the mechanisms behind his clockwork.
12:00 to 1:00 Catered Lunch
1:15 – 2:15 Steven Hoodlebrink presents “What is the Googleman Up to THIS Week?”
Website design fundamentals and where and when to wear your black hat.
