Legend Brands receives SOA ratings for truckmount and deep cleaning system

BURLINGTON, WA — Legend Brands’ Sapphire Scientific company recently received Seal of Approval Gold and Platinum ratings from the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), according to a press release.

The Sapphire Scientific 370SS truckmount received the Gold SOA after meeting stringent standards in three test categories. These include amount of residual moisture removed from the carpet by wet cleaning process, amount of soil removed from the carpet, and impact of the equipment on carpet fibers and appearance.

“The CRI Seal of Approval program tests the effectiveness of carpet cleaning equipment and certifies deep cleaning extractors that effectively remove soil without damage to the carpet,” CRI said in the release. “Not all extractors are good enough to earn this distinction; the blue and green seal helps customers recognize they are buying quality products.”

Sapphire Scientific’s Sears System, which includes the 370SS truckmount as well as Sapphire’s Titanium Wand and Chemspec (also a Legend Brands company) Express Lane 2.0, earned the SOA Platinum rating for Deep Cleaning System. According to the SOA program, a deep cleaning system consists of a machine in combination with a cleaning solution and a specified cleaning procedure.

Deep cleaning systems are tested for the same criteria as truckmounts — soil removal, water retention and texture retention.
