Experience recap and pictures
LAS VEGAS — The 2015 Experience Convention & Trade Show is officially over and in the books, and as usual, it was full of innovative presentations, hands-on interactions and general excitement.
The first big event this year was The Experience Speakers Contest, which looked to four industry voices to present the audience with challenges to old industry or business ideas. This year’s speakers consisted of Barry Costa, Andrew Conklin, Santiago Arango and Cleanfax’s own Jeff Cross.
Taking home first prize this year was Costa, who lectured on finding one’s purpose and told the story of the daughter he lost to cancer. For winning first place, Costa received $2,000 and a crystal trophy.
Second prize went to Cross and his examination of consumer buying habits, especially the resulting changes that will be brought about by the new Amazon Home Services offering (Look for the video to be up on Cleanfax.com soon.). Third place went to Arango, and fourth went to Conklin.
This year’s Keynote Address came from World Floor Covering Association CEO Scott Humphrey, who lectured on self-improvement techniques for business owners and even sang during his presentation.
Outside and in the expo hall, attendees found multiple hands-on opportunities and demonstrations of popular and emerging tools and products. Mikey’s Fest showcased several “clutch drive truckmount shootouts” and tool comparisons, allowing attendees the chance to see equipment from different manufacturers go head-to-head.
The Experience Convention & Trade Show was held September 9, 10 and 11, 2015, at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The 2016 Experience Conference & Exhibition will be held in Atlanta 19, 20 and 21 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
