Crystal Carpet Care of MI donates 100 percent of profits

Charity Concept.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Crystal Carpet Care Inc. has announced that it will be donating all profits from any of its residential or commercial cleaning, as well as restoration services, for jobs scheduled in February or March to the Offrink Fund, according to WZZM13 News.

Customers must mention the fund in order for their profits to go to the fund, the report said, but the proceeds are still expected to be quite high.

The Offrink Fund is a charitable fund benefiting the Offrink family of Grand Rapids. Ben and Shelby Offrink, who have two small children, were simultaneously diagnosed with cancer.

"Once in a while, there is something that pulls on your heart strings and makes you want to do something. This particular story yanked on mine," Chad Rose, owner of Crystal Carpet Care, said. "Though I do not know the Offrink family directly…I have been reading post after post about the family, and what is amazing to me, is the incredible amount of strength and positivity they have. I am mesmerized by the smiles on both Ben and Shelby's faces in all of the pictures I have seen of them."

He added, "I [found] myself wanting to do something for the Offrink family; after kicking some ideas around, the donation of our profits was what we decided on."
