TUSCALOOSA, AL — AFFLINK, a global supply chain management provider, has been awarded the MedAssets Supply Chain Platinum Supplier Award, according to a press release.

This marks the sixth Med Assets Supply Chain Platinum Supplier Award recognition for AFFLINK in as many years, beginning in 2010. AFFLINK provides comprehensive sales and marketing solutions in various segments.

“MedAssets recognizes suppliers that consistently help their members implement cost-reduction strategies,” Marie Carr, director of healthcare for AFFLINK, said in the release. “They also look for organizations that help end-customers better manage their supply needs and improve their facility operations.”

MedAssets has more than 3,200 employees working with organizations in the healthcare industry. Their membership includes more than 180 healthcare systems, 4,400 hospitals and 122,000 non-acute healthcare providers.

In judging the award, supplier performance is evaluated against 37 different items during the calendar year. Award levels are platinum, gold, silver and bronze awards based on total points earned.

“Our work with MedAssets is a reflection of our goal for all AFFLINK end-customers…and it’s gratifying to be recognized for our efforts,” Carr added.

Based in Alpharetta, Georgia and founded more than ten years ago, MedAssets is a healthcare performance improvement company that focuses on helping providers realize financial gains so they can meet the needs of their community.
