Update: Northeast and California experience major storms

Restorers in the New England and California areas are experiencing an increase in business after the areas simultaneously experiences major storms.

The Northeast, specifically Upstate New York, Pennsylvania and parts of Massachusetts saw major snow and rainfall over last week, resulting in up to 20 inches of snow in some areas, according to an article from NBC News.

Areas also experienced flooding as a result of snow melt as temperatures moved back above freezing.

Meanwhile, central and northern California experienced widespread rain, heavy wind and snowfall.

Residents experienced problems from downed trees and power lines, as well as flooding from rivers and streams that previously were low due to draught.
