Sears names new Home Services president
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL — Sears Holdings Corporation named Sean Skelley its new president of its Home Services division on October 9, according to a press release.
Sears’ Home Services is the largest product repair service provider in the U.S and includes carpet and upholstery cleaning, air duct cleaning and HVAC services among others. As of the transition, Skelley will be in charge of all Home Services sectors.
“Sean is a proven, innovative leader who brings a history of strategic customer focus to his new role as the leader of Home Services,” Edward S. Lampert, Sears Holdings’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said in the release. “He possesses a unique understanding of service and product repair needs, and his abilities to identify service efficiencies will be a great asset as we focus on our members and drive the company’s transformation.”
Skelley brings with him experience heading up other large, multinational companies, including more than 20 years with Best Buy where “he led one of Best Buy’s key growth initiatives, ‘Win the Home with Service,’” as well as oversaw the “acquisition and nationwide rollout” of Best Buy’s famed Geek Squad.
Most recently, Skelley was the senior vice president of service solutions at smartphone/electronics device protection and support company Asurion.
