NYC ASSP, AIHA, SENY Host Joint Technical Seminar on PALMS
NEW YORK—March 23, 2022—The American Society of Safety Professionals, New York City Chapter (NYC ASSP); the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA); and the Safety Executives of New York (SENY) will host a joint technical seminar March 30, 2022, 5:00-6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The seminar will focus on annual P.A.L.M.S. updates (Pandemic/PCBs, Asbestos, Lead/Legionella, Mold/Metals, Silica/Safety/Sustainability).
This technical meeting has been developed to support safety professionals, supervisors, managers, and company-wide leaders with the necessary tools and knowledge to recognize the common contaminants and hazards of concern and the latest developments in solving issues associated with PALMS.
With an introduction by Austin Lyon, CSP – GALLAGHER Senior Risk Control Consultant, Northeast, the technical seminar will be led by Mark Drozdov, MS, SSM, FSM, BSI, RSO, CAI, CMA, GPRO. Mark Drozdov is a recognized industry expert on PALMS as well as a subject matter expert in best management practices with 30 years of experience in the environmental health and safety and sustainability industry, including regulatory compliance. He is a leader and instructor across various institutions and organizations, including as a Professor in Environmental Health & Safety, HazMat at The Cooper Union, Rutgers University School of Public Health, Stevens Institute of Technology, Columbia University, and New York University. Drozdov is also an ANSI Expert/ISO Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for RISK, Certified Lead Auditor, as well as a U.S. EPA, OSHA, New York State, and New Jersey Department of Health Approved Instructor for Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor, Asbestos, Mold.
