Marathon Data names new VP

Technology in the hands

NEPTUNE, NJ — Marathon Data Systems, provider of field service logistics software, has named Bill Hazard the new vice president of engineering for the company.

Hazard, who has more than 20 years of experience with software teams and solutions, was previously VP of technology for Infragistics and chief technology officer for Wireless Generation.

“Big data, mobile and cloud-based technologies change at a staggering pace,” Hazard said in the release. “Marathon helps businesses of all sizes harness these technologies to operate more effectively, and I look forward to lending my expertise to help expand on the sustained growth that drew me here.”

At Marathon, Hazard will lead the research and development teams, as well as the technology teams.

 “Adding a technology leader of Bill’s caliber to the Marathon Data Systems team during our continued and rapid growth is an opportunity we relish,” said Chris Sullens, Marathon Data Systems’ president and CEO.

Marathon Data Systems offers field service business owners a cloud-based management platform, allowing business a way to keep track of vehicles and manage their mobile workforces.
