ICRA to begin written exams with new ‘Comprehensive Certification Program’
SACRAMENTO, CA — The International Cleaning and Restoration Association (ICRA) announced it will begin written exams after classroom training programs as part of its “Comprehensive Certification Program,” according to a press release.
The new Comprehensive Certification Program includes three major components: Basic skills, cognitive assessments (written exams) and performance assessments. As of now, 32 schools have already registered to begin teaching courses that lead to ICRA certification.
“In response to the industry’s desire to have an option for certification, the new Comprehensive Certification Program is the next logical advancement in that process,” ICRA said in the release. “Industry leaders from around the country have been working on bringing this program to the market for many months.
A list of schools and instructors for this new certification program is available here ICRAcrassociation.org/certification/icra-registered-schools-2
ICRA added, “Those individuals that already possess a certification from one of these certifying bodies can have their certifications recognized (grandfathered in) without the need for another course or exam. Those with certifications can go to the ICRA website and complete a form, upload a copy of their certificate or ID card and pay a flat fee of $40 no matter how many certifications they have.”
