Flood insurance strong prior to storm season

TALLAHASSEE, FL — As the storm season approaches, Florida has gotten some encouraging news, according to The Tampa Tribune.
A state-created fund designed to back up private insurers appears to be in the "best financial shape it has been during its 20 years of existence," the article stated.
According to the article, new projections show that the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund should have nearly $12 billion available for the hurricane season that starts on June 1.
