Cleaning legend honored posthumously
OAK PARK, MI — Ken Snow, former president of Detroit area’s Hagopian Cleaning Services and well-known industry veteran, was honored earlier this year for his dedication to volunteerism and his local community, according to a press release.
The Eight Mile Boulevard Association posthumously presented its newly created Legacy Award, which was inspired by Snow’s humanitarianism, to Snow, who was also a founding member of the organization.
Snow was involved in numerous philanthropic organizations in the area, including the Michigan Animal Adoption Network and the Madison Choral.
“Ken’s legacy to all of us was his ability to inspire by example. As a friend he was generous, fun-loving and gregarious,” a former employee said in the release. “To have Ken on your team made you a winner. The world is a smaller place without him.”
Snow passed away on September 1, 2013, and his funeral service was a testimony to his life with more than 500 people in attendance, eager to pay their respects.
