WASHINGTON — The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) recently named Ceara N. Flake director of legal affairs for the organization, according to a press release.

In the newly created position, Flake will represent the U.S. cleaning products industry, reporting directly to ACI General Counsel and Vice President of Government Affairs Douglas Troutman.

Flake, who holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, has worked as a contract attorney for AT&T, U.S. Airways and the 3M Company, among other multinational corporations. She also has taught law as an adjunct professor, as well as worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Superior Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“Ceara Flake’s legal experience and knowledge will strengthen ACI’s ability to operate even more effectively and efficiently in service to its members,” Troutman said in the release.
