Sunbelt Rentals and CMI Partner to Offer Training Programs, Scholarships

FORT MILL, S.C.—April 23, 2021—Sunbelt Rentals will partner with the Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) to offer training programs and scholarships to cleaning industry professionals. The Sunbelt Rentals CMI training program will provide both online and in-person training that supports career development for building service contractors, in-house service providers and those interested in joining the cleaning industry. Training will be led by CMI trainers with in-person classes hosted at more than 50 Sunbelt Rentals facilities across the country.

Sunbelt Rentals and CMI are offering a free, online Cleaning 101 certificate course designed as an entry-level guide to the industry. The full suite of courses can be taken at the participant’s own pace and range from the basic chemistry of cleaning to above floor cleaning and hard floor care. Individuals and teams can also sign up for in-person classes, ranging from basic to expert level, at more than 50 Sunbelt Rentals locations across the country. CMI-certified trainers will teach the classes using CMI certification course materials. Successful completion of the three courses—hard floor care; carpet care; and the chemistry of cleaning, restroom, and above floor care—result in a CMI Certified Custodial Technician Expert certification.
